ABOUT TOM SIECKMANN
Omaha golf coach and former PGA Tour champion
Professional Career:
Sieckmann had a 17-year career on the PGA Tour highlighted by a win at the 1988 Anheuser-Busch Golf Classic. Tom finished second in the 1991 Arnold Palmer Bay Hill Invitational and in the 1990 Atlanta Golf Classic. Tom finished third twice in the New Orleans PGA Classic. He finished eighth in the 1990 US Open at Medinah as well as two other top 20 US Open finishes, at Hazeltine Golf Club in Minneapolis and Oak Hill Golf Club in Rochester, New York. Tom played in both the 1989 and 1991 US Masters at Augusta National.
He spent a significant amount of time playing overseas during his regular career years and won several tournaments including the 1980 Brazilian Open, the 1980 Swiss Rolex, the 1981 Philippine Open, the 1981 Thailand Open, the 1984 Singapore Open, and the 1992 Mexican Open.
Coaching Career:
Tom was Director of Instruction for Dave Pelz Golf for 10 years with the responsibility of hiring, managing, and training Dave’s teaching staff. In 2005, he opened Sieckmann Golf Labs, a golf performance and teaching center in southwest Omaha, which focused on technical instruction as well as golf specific training in our facility gym.
Tom has developed numerous experience and technical education in golf instruction. He completed TPI level 3 golf and junior training, and level 2 Dr. Kwon biomechanics accreditations from Texas Women’s University. He has extensive experience in biomechanics using multiple types of technology and significant education in motor learning.
Tom has had outstanding success over the years in developing junior golfers. Since teaching back in Nebraska in 2005, he has had 8 female and 9 male high school golfers win state championships. He has coached local amateurs that have qualified for the US Senior Amateur and Regional Amateurs that have won the US Mid-Amateur, US Senior Amateur, and British Amateur. Tom also coached member of the US Walker Cup Team.
Tom has a high level of patience and enjoys working with all levels of golfers, from beginners to professionals.
